Distressales Return & Refund Policy

At Distressales, our goal is to ensure a safe, reliable, and satisfying shopping experience for both buyers and sellers. Because Distressales is a marketplace that connects business owners with customers, our return and refund process is designed to protect both parties while ensuring fairness and clarity.


1. General Overview

Distressales allows sellers to list and sell their products directly to buyers. Each seller is responsible for the quality, shipping, and fulfillment of their products. However, Distressales provides guidelines to ensure customers receive items as described.

Buyers are advised to review product details carefully before purchasing.


2. Eligibility for Returns

A buyer may request a return or refund if:

a. The item delivered is not as described

Wrong size

Wrong color

Completely different item

Wrong specifications

b. The item is damaged or defective

Product arrives broken or malfunctioning

Product expires or spoils before use (where applicable)

c. The item is missing parts

Accessories, components, or attachments not included as advertised

d. The seller fails to deliver the product

Item not delivered after the seller’s stated delivery period


3. Items Not Eligible for Return

Certain items may not qualify for a return:

Perishable goods (food, flowers, medicine)

Personal items (underwear, beauty products, hygiene items) once opened

Digital products or services already delivered

Items marked as non-returnable by sellers


4. Return Request Window

Buyers can request a return or refund within 3–7 days after receiving the item.
After this period, the transaction will be considered completed unless exceptional cases are proven.


5. How to Request a Return or Refund

  1. Go to your Orders page on Distressales
  2. Select the item you want to return or refund
  3. Click “Request Return / Refund”
  4. Upload evidence:
  5. Photos of the item
  6. Unboxing video (recommended)
  7. Description of the issue
  8. Submit the request for seller review

The seller must respond within 48 hours.


6. Resolution Process

a. If the seller accepts the return

Buyer ships the item back (unless seller states otherwise)

Seller issues a refund once item is received and inspected

b. If the seller does not respond

Distressales may step in to review evidence and make a decision.

c. If the seller disputes the return

Distressales will evaluate proofs from both sides and make a fair judgment.


7. Refund Timeframe

Once approved, refunds are processed within 3–10 business days depending on:

Bank or payment provider

Payment method used


8. Buyer Responsibilities

Provide clear evidence when filing complaints

Return items in the same condition received (unless damaged on arrival)

Not misuse the return system

Fraudulent claims may result in account suspension.


9. Seller Responsibilities

Provide accurate product descriptions

Ensure proper packaging and shipping

Respond promptly to return requests

Honor refunds when faults are legitimate

Repeated unresolved complaints may lead to penalties or account suspension.
